4 Ways to Refresh Your Dining Room for Spring with Blue & White Country Cottage Decor

A little bunny hinted that it was time to give my dining room a Spring makeover. So, I swapped out the winter trees for bunnies and shades of blue. I'm a big fan of blue and white floral patterns, so this gorgeous table runner inspired my dining table refresh. The runner, with its lovely flowers and deep colors, is the star of my dining table, setting the vibe for the whole room. It brings warmth and charm, making the space feel both welcoming and classy.

I added a beautiful silver tray from a thrift shop to my table. Its intricate detailing and tarnished finish bring a vintage elegance. On the tray, I placed a classic white pitcher with soft green leaves, adding a refreshing breath of life and a serene feeling. A white porcelain bunny with delicate features adds a whimsical touch.

Pro Tip: To enhance the vignette, consider adding coordinating ribbons to simple items. A ribbon around the pitcher or a bow on the bunny can create a cohesive look, adding texture and personal expression. This transforms ordinary objects into charming focal points, inviting admiration and conversation.

Next, I added some warmth to my table by incorporating gold candlesticks, which not only serve as functional pieces but also as striking decorative accents. The rich hue of the gold brings a sense of luxury and sophistication to the overall table setting. To complement the candlesticks, I chose blue taper candles that create a beautiful contrast against the warm tones of the gold. The flickering flames of the candles cast a soft glow that enhances the ambiance, making the space feel inviting and cozy.

Pro Tip: Opt for timer taper candles for effortless elegance; they automatically turn on and off for hassle free illumination all while eliminating fire hazards.

To complete the center of the table, additional vintage milk glass, more greenery, and a larger matching white porcelain bunny were included.

Pro Tip: Remove a small section from greenery pieces to add to smaller pieces such as the teacup in my arrangement.

Finally, I incorporated my blue dishes and lovely matching napkins. The addition of white rabbits and bird nests emerging from the bowls at the table settings provides a charming surprise.
